2025 King’s College London Dean’s Award Recipient for Academic Excellence: Faculty of Psychology, Psychiatry & Neuroscience
The Neuro-Transition Lab (NTL) was born from a personal observation at the intersection of my life as a military spouse and my career in Business Development.
I witnessed a recurring "mismatch": elite veterans and their families struggling to adapt to civilian ecosystems. Having lived the realities of service life, I recognise that leaving the Armed Forces community presents a profound cognitive shift for both the veteran and their family. It is more than a change of address; it is a total recalibration of identity and environment.
Driven to bridge this gap, I pursued a Degree in Psychology and an MSc in Applied Neuroscience at King’s College London. I am deeply interested in the science of change: how the brain adapts to new environments and the biological foundations of resilience. My commitment to academic excellence in these fields was recognised in 2025, when I received the Dean’s Award at King’s, a distinction that reinforced my mission to move neuroscience from the lecture hall into the lives of the military community.
By combining academic rigour, commercial strategy, and lived experience, I help veterans and their partners translate "Sentry" strengths into civilian success. I am here to ensure that for the whole family, transition is a scientifically informed process of successful adaptation.
"Our goal is to ensure that every veteran has the scientific framework they need to master their next mission: a successful civilian life."
We provide a strategic bridge between military excellence and commercial success.
For the Veteran and spouses: Apply for our 12-week transition pilot. We move beyond CVs to map your "Cognitive Blueprint," using evidence-based frameworks to recalibrate your strengths for a new mission.
For Corporate Partners: Our Network of Business Psychologists consult on veteran retention and high-performance leadership, helping you turn military resilience into a corporate asset.
Speaking & Workshops: Specialist sessions on The Neuroscience of Resilience and Cognitive Adaptation for transition pathways.
The Neuro-Transition Lab (NTL) applies evidence-based frameworks informed by postgraduate research at King’s College London, focusing on how the brain adapts to high-pressure environments. We move beyond the traditional veteran's CV; we look at their cognitive blueprint
Our 12-week service evaluation is built on three scientific pillars:
1. Cognitive Recalibration.
Military service builds an elite "Sentry" mindset, exceptional at threat detection and rapid decision-making. Through Applied Neuroscience, we help veterans recalibrate these neural pathways so they can apply that same high-level focus to civilian work and life without the "always-on" stress of the frontline.
2. Bridging the "Identity Gap."
Using my background in Psychology and Business Development, we identify the "soft skills" that are often lost in translation. We use neuroscience-based mapping to show veterans and potential employers exactly how military discipline translates into cognitive flexibility and emotional intelligence.
3. Evidence-Based Reintegration.
As a military spouse, I understand that transition doesn't happen in a vacuum. Our evaluation looks at the whole person. We provide data-driven insights that help veterans navigate the shift in their social environment, family life, and professional identity, ensuring a transition that is sustainable for the long term.
